After college, I taught myself all I could about money while earning a teeny-tiny salary. I then built a career as a finance writer, and now I'm here to help you navigate your money journey. You might spot my byline in Forbes Advisor or Yahoo! Finance, but my favorite place to talk money is right here on this podcast.

When I'm not demystifying finance, I'm exploring Michigan's great outdoors with my corgi, crafting up a storm, or getting lost in a good book.

My mission? To make finance feel as comfortable as chatting with a friend over coffee. Because what really drives me is connecting with real people facing real money challenges.

Like you, I've felt the weight of financial stress. I grew up in a trailer in South Georgia where money was always tight — but it fueled my determination to create a different future.

Today, I'm a freelance finance writer for major publications like Forbes Advisor, AOL, and NerdWallet. But my true joy comes from having honest conversations about money with people like you.
